Andrew Carleton

Founder and Co-owner of Zoom Multisports

Chief Financial Officer
Ironman® Triathlete
Andrew has competed at the collegiate level in track and field, specializing in the pole vault and began his triathlon career in 2001.

After graduating college in 1995, he began a prosperous eight year financial career. In 2003, on a smog filled day in the streets of Los Angeles, he realized he didn't want to drive a desk for the rest of his life. He decided to take a turn at another passion, behind the wheel of race boats as a professional sailor. After two years, he acquired his 50-ton captain's license and US Sailing Instructor certifications. After too much sun and time away from home, he fell back to his athletic roots and started Zoom Multisports in 2005 with co-founder and long time friend Keith McDonald. Andrew finished his first Ironman® distance race with the Coeur d'Alene Ironman® in June, 2007.

He currently resides in Sausalito with his wife Jennifer, a Shitzu named Tug and two horses. His still races sailboats competitively when not racing triathlons.

James Irmiger
Store Manager

Avid Cyclist
Penchant for Overindulgence

James Irmiger (Store Manager, Shipping Manager, Web Dude, General Guru of all Things) comes to us from the small migrant town of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Struggling to find the proper way to cook Ramen noodle soup, he enrolled in various schools of higher learning across the country.   Five schools, four majors, various girlfriends, and over a dozen bicycles later, James finally visited the quaintly conservative city of San Francisco.   Interestingly enough, it wasn't the beautiful weather, varied outdoor sports, or cheap apartment rentals that convinced him to stay. His wife apparently got hooked on the Union Square shopping and said that if they didn't move out immediately, she would leave him for someone who didn't drive a beat-up Volvo and obsess over bikes...or something vaguely like that.   With over 18 years experience working on bicycles, 27 years in sailing, a background in Engineering, Architecture, General Aviation, Retail Management and Feng Shui, James has the skills to fix your problems (psychiatry and soup recipes not included).
